La inmadurez de Kowalski, el treinta\u00f1ero protagonista del libro, no ser\u00eda un impedimento para su vida, sino el motor de su liberaci\u00f3n, entreg\u00e1ndose al deseo y el absurdo y, en el camino, revelando la fragilidad de las convenciones sociales que se imponen sobre la subjetividad. Con humor grotesco, iron\u00eda y hasta inventando palabras (como \u201ccuculaquillo\u201d y \u201ccuculato\u201d), Gombrowicz teje un relato en el que la identidad se construye siempre en relaci\u00f3n dial\u00e9ctica con el entorno y los hechos sociales, a los que considera igual de rid\u00edculos que las palabras dichas por Kowalski.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>In the Heat of the Sun<\/em>, pel\u00edcula de Jiang Wen de 1994, tiene el mismo esp\u00edritu inmaduro que <em>Ferdydurke, <\/em>aunque en lugar de situarse en la Polonia de los 30 est\u00e1 ambientada en la d\u00e9cada del 70 en Beijing. El protagonista Ma Xiaojun (apodado \u201cMonkey\u201d) y sus amigos tienen la ciudad entera para ellos solos: en el marco de la Revoluci\u00f3n Cultural, la mayor\u00eda de los adultos se fueron a hacer campa\u00f1a al interior del pa\u00eds. Pura pulsi\u00f3n er\u00f3tica de una libido desatada, a la manera de los poetas j\u00f3venes de Roberto Bola\u00f1o o los artistas adolescentes de James Joyce, Ma Xiajoun se la pasa fabricando llaves para irrumpir en las casas vac\u00edas de la ciudad, hasta que entra en una donde, a trav\u00e9s de un catalejo, ve el retrato de una chica en malla que lo deja at\u00f3nito. Es Mi Lan, una chica m\u00e1s grande que trabaja en una granja de las afueras de la ciudad. Pero mientras que en la \u00e9pica de Edward Yang el desenlace es un crimen tr\u00e1gico, el giro humor\u00edstico e irreverente de <em>In the Heat of the Sun<\/em> da lugar a que la confrontaci\u00f3n entre las dos pandillas m\u00e1s grandes de la ciudad termine en un brindis en el bar, cantando himnos mao\u00edstas y alzando en brazos al l\u00edder pandillero de Beijing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El film de Jiang Wen, de fuerte car\u00e1cter autobiogr\u00e1fico, est\u00e1 narrado con la melancol\u00eda imprecisa de la memoria, en un <em>flashback <\/em>perpetuo que se siente poco confiable: va y vuelve, confunde realidad y sue\u00f1o y hasta miente y se retracta, develando el artificio narrativo. Este recurso es una forma de mostrar que tanto la narraci\u00f3n oficial mao\u00edsta como la de la restauraci\u00f3n de Deng Xiaoping no son relatos absolutos y tot\u00e9micos sino construcciones hist\u00f3ricas y sociales, donde la subjetividad individual forma parte fundamental de los modos en que vivimos la historia. <em>In the Heat of the Sun <\/em>la reescribe partir de mecanismos propios de la ficci\u00f3n, con humor, lascivia e iron\u00eda iconoclastas que, a pesar de su modo de producci\u00f3n industrial, lo alejan de las pel\u00edculas oficiales y solemnes de la Quinta Generaci\u00f3n (compuesta por Zhang Yimou y Chen Kaige, entre otros) y lo acercan a la Sexta (la independiente, la de Jia Zhangke y Lou Ye).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Como Gombrowicz, Jiang Wen ataca la grandilocuencia de los relatos que se pretenden totalizantes, defendiendo las emociones alteradas, los gemidos de impotencia juvenil.
